Miners Diner is one of the Premier dining and tourism experiences in Julian, California. Operated Within the Historic Levi & Co. Building (The first brick building erected in Julian, 1885) the historic significance doesn't stop there.  From our eclectic mix of vintage signage, to old prescription medications which line the shelves (locked away from the kids of course), to the numerous photos of the town and our building, our customers receive an understanding and experience of old Julian which is available nowhere else. Enjoy a root beer float at the                             (Installed in 1928). Follow the Santa Fe train which circles the inside of the restaurant, crossing various bridges and landscapes, and keep in mind that every bridge along the track was engineered, planned, and constructed from raw materials by the owner of the restaurant, Fred Dornon. Additionally, check out the "Candy Mine." Modeled after a real mine shaft (complete with sound effects), the "Candy Mine" is a 'can't miss' for every member of the family. Featuring old school candy for the adults and all the goodies your kids will love, you have to see it yourself.
